Morocco Travel Guides

I have been to Morocco multiple times, and find myself always going back. I love the food, the culture and the weather. From Italy or London it’s one of the easiest places to travel to in winter if you’re looking for sun and warmth, without flying half way across the world.

I’ve been to Marrakech three times now and twice to the coast, but am yet to explore the north. I love the surfing in Morocco and the desert glamping experiences.

Next time I visit I’m planning to travel more around the country and see other cities. In the meanwhile, you can check out all my top Morocco travel tips here!

How to get there: You can find the cheapest flights to Morocco via SkyScanner.

Currency: Moroccan Dirham (MAD) – see the latest exchange rate here.

Electrical plugs in Morocco: Types C&E – I recommend an international adapter so you can use it on multiple trips.

Best time to visit: The best time to visit Morocco ultimately depends on what you want to do there. Morocco is blessed with generally good weather, warm and dry, with average highs around 35°C in summer and average lows around 19°C in winter.

It’s one of the best winter sun escape for most European travellers. If you’re looking to surf you will find the best waves in winter. If you’re looking to hike and explore the mountains and desert you will have a better experience in spring, when the temperatures are warmer.

How to travel around Morocco: For long distances between big towns you can find cheap flights on SkyScanner. For shorter distances there are regular buses and trains that connect most big towns.

Visa requirements: Most passport holders don’t need to apply for a visa before travelling to Morocco. You can stay up to 90 days. Click here to check the visa requirements for your country.
