Bangkok is home to some truly wonderful hotels with rooftop pools. Here’s a list of seven of them within a variety of price ranges.

The higher-end Sivatel hotel is a great choice for those wanting to live the high life. Five-star luxury combined with a 22-metre-long infinity pool and great views of the city – it’s one of the best rooftop hotels in Bangkok.
The pool area is the ideal spot to catch some rays and swim among skyscrapers.
If all the swimming works up an appetite, you can always grab a bite to eat at the in-house restaurant, The Porch, which offers fine wine and international cuisine.

Buddy Lodge
This hotel might not have the best views, but I found it to be a great sunset spot and I enjoyed the pool.
After spending two weeks travelling around Thailand it was a great rooftop pool hotel where we could relax, but still enjoy the proximity to all the main attractions of Bangkok, without breaking the bank.
You can kick back and recline in a deckchair poolside while indulging in a few delicious drinks from the bar. Take your relaxation even further by making use of the hotel’s sauna and steam baths.
Buddy Lodge offers modern Thai-style accommodation with additional facilities like free WiFi and a fitness centre. The air-conditioned rooms feature dark wood finishings and their own private balconies.
An affordable option, the hotel is also located in the heart of Khao San Road. This means you’re surrounded by shops, restaurants, and some great pamper places.
It’s also a short distance from some of Bangkok’s historic temples and landmarks. You’re 600 m from the Wat Bowonniwet Vihara and just 1.8 km from the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
If you’re looking for more than a rooftop pool in Bangkok, Buddy Lodge delivers with its great location and nearby major attractions.

AVANI Riverside Bangkok Hotel
The sky knows no limits, especially at AVANI Riverside Hotel. The infinity pool is the crowning jewel of the 28-metre-high rooftop.
One of the best rooftop pools Bangkok has to offer, you can expect a gorgeous view of the city’s urban cityscape at this hotel. But more than that, you’ll get to look out over the impressive Chao Phraya River.
The combination of the city skyline and river views make it without a doubt one of the most Instagrammable places in Bangkok. This hotel is upmarket, so it’s definitely targeted at visitors with some money to spend.
But, if you’re happy to pay up for more upscale accommodation, this hotel with a pool on the roof offers a five-star experience. You’ll appreciate the modern-style decor and the fully-equipped rooms.

SO Sofitel Bangkok
The SO Sofitel hotel is another designer urban oasis that’s a bit on the higher end, but for good reason. On my last trip we spent two days in Bangkok and slept here both nights, and it was simply perfect.
I thought the pool was absolutely gorgeous and I couldn’t believe how epic the views were. Possibly, one of the best hotel pools in Bangkok for the views and Instagram potential.
The pool offers something extra special to its guests with underwater music – how incredible? It even glows purple at night with beautiful LED lighting.
We did a day trip to Ayutthaya from Bangkok, and after a long day of temple hopping in Ayutthaya, the pool and views of SO Sofitel were just what we needed to wind down.
When you’ve had enough of splashing around, you can also perch on the edge of the pool and look out over the green Lumphini Park.
On top of all this, the breakfast was awesome and I really appreciated the spacious rooms.
You’ll love the fun decorations. The interior design of this hotel is inspired by the five elements of water, fire, earth, wood, and metal. These themed rooms have full-length windows with views of the city or of Lumphini Park.
The hotel is 200 m from the Lumphini MRT Subway Station so you can easily get to Bangkok’s major attractions and sights. Silom Road is a 10-minute walk away, meaning you’re close to one of Bangkok’s most cosmopolitan streets.

Nouvo City Hotel
The Nouvo City Hotel has a lovely rooftop pool lined with sun loungers and white canopies. The pool area is enclosed by pretty flower beds and a wooden deck. You’ll love taking some time out here in this quaint spot.
Nouvo City Hotel is perfect for travellers looking for a quiet area to stay. I stayed here on my last Bangkok 3-day itinerary with my family, and it was pretty perfect for us.
This hotel is a 10-minute walk from Khao San Road, so you’re close to the action but far enough away that you don’t feel like you’re right in the middle of the hustle and bustle.
You’re also nearby the Grand Palace, National Museum, and Wat Pho. You won’t need to travel far to get a great cultural and historical experience.
In terms of accommodation, this boutique hotel offers air-conditioned rooms with glass-walled bathrooms and warm decor.
The rooms have flat-screen TVs, tea and coffee facilities, and minibars. The best part is that you can stay here on a budget so you can save your money for activities and decadent meals.

Amara Bangkok Hotel
26 storeys high up, the Sky Pool looks like it’s on the edge of the world. If you haven’t been to an infinity pool in Thailand, visit the Amara Bangkok Hotel.
You can savour the cool water on your skin as you look out at the city’s tallest skyscraper, the MahaNakhon Tower. A couple of refreshing drinks from the bar will complete this awesome scene.
If you’ve had your fill of the pool, you can head out to some of the nearby great attractions, like the city’s Art and Culture Centre and SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World.

Spend a day or two soaking up the city’s art scene or watch some amazing sea creatures make a splash.
You can expect nonstop entertainment and retail therapy in this part of Bangkok. The hotel is just 2.1 km from the MBK Centre, an eight-storey-high shopping mall with around 2000 shops, restaurants and service outlets.
The Amara Hotel’s rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite, a fridge, kettle, shower, and desk.
This is the ideal accommodation for guests who expect to be doing a bit of work during their stay. Set up your laptop on the desk and enjoy a cup of coffee while going through your emails.
